Acrylic paints: red, brown, black and yellow

Shellac or varnish

Take a medium to large phone book and fold each page to the middle of the phone book without creasing the pages. Take red, black, brown and yellow acrylic paints and paint smudges and dots of paints and all surfaces until it is completely covered. When dry, apply 2 coats of varnish or shellac to seal and protect the surfaces. Allow to dry.

This can be used as a door stop, a book end or as an accent table when combined with other phone books and a round glass top.
