In the Transformers movie franchise, Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons, once planned to use electronic devices to go against and cause harm to humankind. It seems director Michael Bay finally saw a bit of that electronics-rage-against-humanity action.
The director was reportedly attacked by a man wielding an air-conditioning unit while filming Transformers 4 in Hong Kong last Thursday, October 17.
The assault happened when three men (apparently under the influence of illegal drugs) came in to Bay and his crew with one wielding an air-conditioning unit and starting swinging it to the 48-year old director’s head, to which he quickly ducked. Bay then wrestled the appliance from the attacker until the security team came to his aid.
The police then finally arrested the three attackers. Contrary to erroneous reports circulating the web, neither Bay nor any of the crew was harmed during the incident.
