Description

After a little preparation, this chili is basically a set and forget dish. It's tasty, healthy and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 99% fat-free ground chicken (or fat-free ground turkey)
  • 15 oz. can kidney beans, drained (or black bean or pinto beans, drained)
  • 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 T. chili powder
  • 1 t. cumin
  • 1/4 t. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. salt

Steps

  1. Cook the ground chicken in a skillet, breaking it apart, creating crumbles.
  2. Add the cooked chicken to a slow cooker; add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, onion and spices. Stir to combine.
  3. Set the slow cooker to High. Cook for 4 hours.
