Description
After a little preparation, this chili is basically a set and forget dish. It's tasty, healthy and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. 99% fat-free ground chicken (or fat-free ground turkey)
- 15 oz. can kidney beans, drained (or black bean or pinto beans, drained)
- 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 T. chili powder
- 1 t. cumin
- 1/4 t. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. salt
Steps
- Cook the ground chicken in a skillet, breaking it apart, creating crumbles.
- Add the cooked chicken to a slow cooker; add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, onion and spices. Stir to combine.
- Set the slow cooker to High. Cook for 4 hours.
