Description
This casserole might have Sunday in its name, but it's perfect for busy weeknight dinners too. It's quick and easy, economical with simple ingredients and even better, delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 c. sliced carrots
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 1 c. frozen peas
- 2 c. cooked egg noodles (from 1/2 c. dry)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or favorite cream of soup)
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13" baking dish.
- Cook the egg noodles following package instructions, about 7-10 minutes; drain; set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat; add the ground beef and onion; cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart while cooking. Discard excess grease. Stir in the carrots, celery, and frozen peas, cooking for a few minutes until slightly softened.
