Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef stew meat*
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 1/2 bottle Guinness (or other good stout beer)
- 1 pkg. frozen pearl onions**
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. honey, or to taste
- salt and pepper
- mashed potatoes, for serving
Steps
- Trim and dry stew meat with paper towels.
- Heat a bit of oil in a large pot; add meat; brown.*
- Add sliced carrots.
