Description

Your family will ask for this dish to be placed on your regular meal rotation. The beef turns out tender and the tomato gravy is great served with mashed potatoes, egg noodles or cooked rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 t. paprika
  • 1/2 t. garlic powder
  • 1/2 t. black pepper
  • 2 T. olive oil, or as needed
  • 2 yellow onions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 28 oz. can diced tomatoes with juices
  • 10 oz. beef broth
  • 1 T. Worcestershire sauce

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Use a meat mallet to pound meat to 1/2″ thickness.
  3. Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper, to taste. Dredge the meat in the flour mixture.
