Unique pasta recipe. The cheesy butter sauce can also be used on top of veggies!
2 sticks or 1 cup butter
16 oz. uncooked spaghetti
1 cup shredded Mizithra cheese
Placed tabs of butter in a skillet or saucepan and cook over medium heat till it comes to a low boil, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes. Cook until liquid turns an amber color, 1-2 minutes longer. It should have a caramel aroma. Remove from heat and set aside to let sediment settle . Pour the butter through a strainer over a small bowl and throw away the sediment.
Cook pasta al dente, drain. Sprinkle cheese over pasta and top with the browned butter.
The browned butter and cheese can also be served over the top of vegetables. It is especially good on broccoli.
