Unique pasta recipe. The cheesy butter sauce can also be used on top of veggies!
Ingredients
- 2 sticks or 1 cup butter
- 16 oz. uncooked spaghetti
- 1 cup shredded Mizithra cheese
Steps
- Placed tabs of butter in a skillet or saucepan and cook over medium heat till it comes to a low boil, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes. Cook until liquid turns an amber color, 1-2 minutes longer. It should have a caramel aroma. Remove from heat and set aside to let sediment settle . Pour the butter through a strainer over a small bowl and throw away the sediment.
- Cook pasta al dente, drain. Sprinkle cheese over pasta and top with the browned butter.
- The browned butter and cheese can also be served over the top of vegetables. It is especially good on broccoli.
