Description
Make your own German dish the easy way in the slow-cooker. Make it even easier and use a crockpot liner for easy clean up. Serve with potato salad and you have a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 8 uncooked bratwurst, your choice of flavor
- 1-14 oz. can sauerkraut, rinsed and well- drained
- 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped
- 3 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
- 1 t. ground mustard
- 8 buns
Steps
- Line a slow-cooker with a slow-cooker liner for easy clean-up.
- Combine sauerkraut, apples, bacon, brown sugar, onion and mustard in 5 quart slow-cooker, place bratwurst on top , stir and spoon mixture over meat.
- Cover, cook on low for 6-8 hours.
