Do you like Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches? How about Sloppy Joes? Well, combine the 2 with this terrific and quick recipe and you can have the taste of both at the same time.
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 small sweet onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1/4 c. steak sauce
1 c. beef stock or broth
Provolone cheese slices
buns, your choice
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, break up into small pieces and add the onion and green pepper. When the beef is about half cooked, add the stock/broth and steak sauce. Cook until all items are cooked, simmer and cook until thickened.
Slice buns open and fill with the meat mixture. Top each with a slice of provolone cheese. Place under the broiler for about 3 minutes.
