You will want to add this to your recipe box once you have made this just once. The sauce over the meatballs is very creamy and has a great, delicious flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef, or 1/2 lb. lean ground beef and 1/2 lb. ground veal, or 1/2 lb. lean groud beef and 1/2 lb. ground sausage
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 t. ground nutmeg
- 2 T. vegetable oil
- hot cooked noodles
- Stroganoff Sauce:
- 1 T. butter
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/3 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 t. paprika
Steps
- In medium bowl, mix thoroughly meat, bread crumbs, onion, egg and nutmeg. Shape mixture into small meatballs.
- Add oil to a large skillet and over medium heat, brown meatballs a few at a time until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink. Spoon off grease.
