So simple and tasty, this roast will delight family and friends. If preferred, this dish can be baked in the oven if you don't have time to make it in the slow cooker.
4 lb. chuck roast
1 -1 oz. envelope Ranch Dressing mix
1 -1 1/4 oz. envelope McCormick's Au Jus mix
1/2 c. butter
4 -5 Pepperoncini peppers
fresh ground pepper, to taste
seasoned salt, to taste
non-stick spray
Line the slow cooker with a slow cooker liner. Spray slow cooker liner with non-stick spray.
Place roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with a little black pepper and a little seasoned salt. Sprinkle the top with the Ranch Dressing mix and the Au Jus mix. Place peppers, then the butter dotted on top.
Set slow cooker on Low 8 hours.
Do not add any additional water to this.
Serve with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.
