Description

This is a spicier version of traditional cornbread with green onions and jalapeno peppers. The creamed corn and cheeses make it truly scrumptious!

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 c. Jiffy cornbread mix
• 3/4 c. milk
• 1 egg
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 1/2 c. creamed corn
• 1/4 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
• 3/4 c. grated cheese (your choice of Cheddar, Monterey Jack or both)
• bacon, pimento, garlic, your choice
• 1 T. sugar
• 2 T. oil

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients well. Pour into buttered baking dish or cast iron skillet.
3. Bake about 25 minutes or until done.
