This is a spicier version of traditional cornbread with green onions and jalapeno peppers. The creamed corn and cheeses make it truly scrumptious!
1 1/2 c. Jiffy cornbread mix
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 c. creamed corn
1/4 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
3/4 c. grated cheese (your choice of Cheddar, Monterey Jack or both)
bacon, pimento, garlic, your choice
1 T. sugar
2 T. oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix all ingredients well. Pour into buttered baking dish or cast iron skillet.
Bake about 25 minutes or until done.
