Description
Serve this Chinese restaurant inspired dish over rice for a complete meal. It is normally found at Cajun-themed Chinese restaurants, but is actually a dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana and for the bourbon whiskey ingredient.
Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 t. ground ginger
- 4 oz. soy sauce
- 2 T. dried onion flakes
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 3/8-1/2 c. bourbon
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
Steps
- Place chicken in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine ginger, soy sauce, onion flakes, brown sugar, bourbon and garlic powder. Mix together and pour over chicken. Cover dish and place in refrigerator.
- Marinate overnight.
