Description
This will quickly become one of your favorite meals for you and your family. It is simple and quick to prepare. More importantly, it is delicious.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. pasta, your choice (spaghetti, penne, egg noodles etc.)
- 5 T. butter, divided
- 3 large cloves garlic, minced
- onion salt, powder or flakes, if desired
- 8 oz. baby white mushrooms, sliced
- 3 c. cooked chicken, chopped (rotisserie chicken works well)
- 2 T. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. chicken broth or stock
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1/4 - 1/2 t. kosher salt, or as needed
- 1/8 t. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook and drain pasta, according to package directions.
- Melt 3 T. butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and mushrooms, cook for 3-5 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Add chicken, toss to coat and remove from the heat.
