Crescent rolls, bacon and your favorite cheese make a great breakfast. But why just have it at breakfast when you can enjoy it for lunch or dinner too?
2 cans crescent rolls
cheese, Velveeta or your favorite
12 oz. or 16 oz. bacon, cooked
flour for dusting, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Lightly flour the work surface so that the crescent rolls won't stick.
Cook bacon either in the oven or on the stovetop.
Unroll one can of rolls on the work surface. Press the seams together and lightly press and stretch a little into a nice rectangle.
Add a layer of cheese and then add a layer of bacon. Unroll the remaining can of crescent rolls and place on top. Press all the seems together both on top and all around.
Using a pizza cutter or a knife slice into squares. Place the entire thing on your baking sheet using a large spatula, working in batches if you need to. Lay all the squares right beside each other so all the cut seams touch so that the cheese doesn't leak out.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the top of the crescent rolls are lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 3-5 minutes.
