Make your ham in the slow cooker for better flavor and ease of cooking. It will be juicy and so tender it will fall off of the bone ham. Save the juices for gravy and the bone for soups.
1 3/4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. maple syrup
3 T. Dijon mustard
1/4 t. ground black pepper
7-10 lb. bone-in, spiral-cut ham
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
15 whole cloves
Place a slow cooker liner in the crock of the slow cooker for easy clean up.
In a small bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, maple syrup, Dijon mustard and pepper; set aside.
Place ham into the slow cooker. Sprinkle with brown sugar, rubbing in thoroughly on all sides. Place whole cloves throughout and pour pineapple mixture over ham.
Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours, basting every hour.
Slice and serve immediately.
