Description
Serve these taquitos as a meal, appetizer or as a snack. Make them a little healthier with low-fat cream cheese and cheddar cheese if you are watching your waistline.
Ingredients
- 3 c. cooked,shredded chicken (rotisserie is great)
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 2 T. hot sauce, or to taste
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 9 oz. canned green chiles
- 16 six inch flour tortillas
- 1 c. vegetable oil, for frying
- salsa, for serving
Steps
- Shred chicken with two forks.
- Stir shredded chicken with cheeses, hot sauce, and chiles.
- Making one flour tortilla at a time, add a few tablespoons chicken mixture to the center of the tortilla. Roll the tortilla up tightly. Repeat.
