Give those steaks a bit of extra flavor with this delicious garlic paste. You will be glad that you did.
10 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
1 T. fresh parsley, chopped
1-1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper
2 T. olive oil
1 T. lemon juice
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
4 boneless beef top loin steaks or 4 ribeye steaks,1-1/4 " thick, 8 oz. each
With a mortar and pestle, combine the garlic, salt and pepper, then add the oil, lemon juice, chopped parsley and Worcestershire sauce; mix to form a paste.
Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°.
Brush with garlic mixture during the last few minutes of grilling. Let stand for 3 to 5 minutes before serving so that juices don't escape when cutting.
