Beef Stroganoff

Description

Make this easy main dish for your next week night dinner. It is so delicious, you will put it on your dinner rotation for future meals.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. cubed round steak, cut into thin strips
house seasoning
all-purpose flour
2 T. olive oil
2 T. butter
1 medium onion, sliced
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
10 3/4 oz. can beef broth
10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
1 c. sour cream
cooked egg noodles

House Seasoning:
1 c. salt
1/4 c. black pepper
1/4 c. garlic powder

House Seasoning:
Mix the ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Sprinkle round steak strips with house seasoning to lighlyt cover them, and then dust with flour.

In a large skillet, quickly brown them on both sides in the olive oil and butter. Remove the steak from skillet. Add onion and mushrooms to the pan drippings. Saute for a few minutes, until onion is tender. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon flour. Put meat back into the pan with the onion and mushrooms. Add the mushroom soup and beef broth.

Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, covered. Adjust seasoning to taste, adding salt and pepper, as needed.

Stir in sour cream the last few minutes, right before serving. Serve over cooked noodles.
