These chicken strips are not just for kids. Prepare them with garlic, spices, bread brumbs and two different cheeses. Adults will devour them, so be sure to make enought!
1/2 c. butter or margarine
5 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs, regular or seasoned
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 t. dried parsley
1/4 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. ground black pepper
1/8 t. salt
8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into strips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Melt butter in a pan over low heat; saute the garlic until tender.
In a shallow bowl or plate, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Cheddar cheese, parsley, oregano, pepper, and salt.
Cut chicken breasts into strips.
Dip each chicken strip in the garlic butter to coat, then press into the bread crumb mixture.
Arrange the chicken breasts on the baking dish. Drizzle with the remaining butter; top with the remaining bread crumb mixture.
Bake 30 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.
