Description
This casserole makes a lot, so if you are not going to eat it all in one sitting, you might consider cutting the recipe in half. It is kid friendly and so good!
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen meatballs (vegetarian meatballs would work as well)
- 1 jar marinara or spaghetti sauce
- garlic powder, to taste
- onion powder, to taste
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 c. Italian blend cheese, shredded
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 loaf fresh French or Italian bread, sliced (frozen Texas toast might be good, as well)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place meatballs in a pot with the sauce. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat until warmed completely through, about 10 minutes. Stir as needed.
- When heated through, remove from the heat. Place meatballs in the center of a 9x13 baking dish, layer Mozzarella and Italian blend cheeses over meatballs, topping off with the Parmesan cheese.
