Description
These cheesy meatballs are quick to make and so delicious. For a healthier version, you can make turkey or chicken meatballs instead. They will be just as good! Serve with a side of pasta and a salad.
Ingredients
- 24 oz. marinara sauce, your favorite kind
- 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 T. fresh basil, chopped
- meatballs:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef (or a mixture of ground beef and ground pork)
- 1 T. garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- ½ c. Italian bread crumbs, regular or seasoned
- ½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper, to taste
Steps
- Combine all meatball ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix thoroughly.
- Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out about 1 golf ball sized meatball mixture, then roll to make meatballs.
- Over medium-high heat, brown meatballs in batches until evenly browned, about 5-8 minutes.
