Description

Bring your meatball up a few notches by stuffing them with cheese. Serve with your favorite Marinara sauce and pasta or on a sandwich.

Ingredients

• 1 lb. lean ground beef
• 1 lb. ground mild Italian sausage
• 1 c. breadcrumbs, regular or seasoned
• 1 T. Italian seasoning
• 3 eggs
• 4 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 t. salt
• 1/2 t. pepper
• 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes or Mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into cubes
• olive oil
• Marinara sauce, your choice

Steps

1. In a large bowl, mix the first eight ingredients.
2. Form meat mixture into 2 inch balls. Place a cheese cube in the middle of the mixture, pressing down to seal the meat.
3. Heat 1/2 inch olive oil in a large skillet. Brown meatballs and then set aside on a plate/ platter that has been lined with paper towels.
