Description
Bring your meatball up a few notches by stuffing them with cheese. Serve with your favorite Marinara sauce and pasta or on a sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. ground mild Italian sausage
- 1 c. breadcrumbs, regular or seasoned
- 1 T. Italian seasoning
- 3 eggs
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes or Mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into cubes
- olive oil
- Marinara sauce, your choice
Steps
- In a large bowl, mix the first eight ingredients.
- Form meat mixture into 2 inch balls. Place a cheese cube in the middle of the mixture, pressing down to seal the meat.
- Heat 1/2 inch olive oil in a large skillet. Brown meatballs and then set aside on a plate/ platter that has been lined with paper towels.
