Description
Serve these delicious meatballs with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, rice or on a bun.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground pork or mixture of ground beef and pork
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 T. chopped dill
- 2 eggs
- ¾ c. breadcrumbs
- ¼ c. buttermilk
- hot sauce, to taste
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- ½ lb. mushrooms
- 4 T. butter
- ¼ c. white wine or chicken broth/stock
- ½ c. heavy cream
- 2 c. beef broth/stock
- 3 T. all-purpose flour
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Chop onion and dill.
- In a large bowl, add the ground meat, half the onion and half the dill. Add 2 eggs, the breadcrumbs, hot sauce, salt, pepper and buttermilk; mix well. Shape into meatballs; fry meatballs about 3 minutes per side.
