Enjoy an easy ground beef dish that is much better than those boxed ones from the grocery store. Serve it with bread and a salad for a complete meal.
2 lb. ground beef
2 large onions, peeled and chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
3 c. water
30 oz. canned tomato sauce
30 oz. canned diced tomatoes
2 1/2 T. Italian seasoning
3-4 bay leaves
3 T. soy sauce
1 T. Seasoned Salt
2 c. elbow macaroni, uncooked
In a Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until cooked and no longer pink. Break meat up while cooking. Discard grease.
Add onions and garlic to the pot; saute until tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the water, along with the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, soy sauce, and seasoned salt. Stir well.
Cover the pot; cook 15 - 20 minutes.
Add macaroni, stir well, cover the pot, and simmer about 30 minutes. Turn off heat, remove bay leaves, and allow the mixture to sit about 30 minutes more before serving.
Serve with garlic bread and your choice of a salad.
