Description
The weather is getting colder and it's time to start making soup again. You will be happy eating this delicious and tasty soup. Serve with crusty bread and a salad.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 T. butter
- 10 c. water
- 6 c. chopped cabbage
- 4 c. peeled and cubed potatoes
- 2- 3 T. chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 t. dried minced garlic
- 4 c. cubed fully cooked ham (leftovers are great)
Steps
- In a large pot or Dutch oven that will hold 3 1/2 quarts, saute onion in butter until tender.
- Wash, peel and cube potatoes.
- Add the water, cabbage, potatoes, bouillon, pepper and garlic.
