This easy chicken pasta dish will become a family favorite. It's simple and delicious!
1 lb. penne pasta
6 strips bacon, diced
1 T. bacon drippings, reserved
2 T. all-purpose flour
1 packet Ranch dressing/seasoning mix
2 c. milk
1 T. butter
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Cook pasta, according to package directions; drain; set aside.
While cooking pasta; cook bacon in a skillet; drain grease but set aside 1 tablespoon bacon drippings in the pan.
Add butter to the bacon drippings; toss in chicken pieces; cook until no longer pink.
Pour Ranch dressing mix and flour over the chicken; add milk. Stir until bubbly and thick.
Add cheese and half of the diced bacon pieces to the pan; stir until melted.
Combine sauce and pasta together; add salt and pepper, to taste.
Garnish with remaining half of the bacon pieces.
