Description

You won't know whether to use a fork or a spoon when you eat this delicious breakfast. Serve with toast to help you soak up all of that delicious egg goodness. It would make a great lunch or dinner, as well!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup marinara sauce, your favorite
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 c. regular, fat free or lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 c. basil leaves, chiffonade or Italian seasoning or dried basil, to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease two 10 oz. ramekins.
  2. Divide marinara sauce evenly into the 2 ramekins. Evenly top with eggs, milk, Gruyere and Parmesan cheeses; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  3. Bake until egg whites are cooked through, about 10 minutes.
