This is a great, versatile chicken recipe. It can be used as an appetizer or as the main dish. Kids will love it and the parents will as well.
1 lb. chicken tenders
1 lb. your favorite bacon, thinly sliced
½ c. honey
2 t. spicy mustard powder or ¼ c. prepared mustard, your favorite
½ t. garlic powder
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. red wine vinegar
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Wash chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
Whisk together honey, mustard, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
Marinade chicken in half of the honey mustard for 30 minutes.
Remove chicken from marinade; wrap each piece with bacon. Place on a baking sheet; brush with the other half of the honey mustard marinade, sprinkle pepper over each piece.
Bake 10-12 minutes, then flip each chicken piece over and brush again with the honey mustard. Bake another 10-12 minutes, until bacon is brown and crisp.
