Description
When it is cold outside, you need a yummy, warm and hearty meal in the slow cooker. It's nice to come home to a delicious dinner when you have been busy and just want a comforting dish.
Ingredients
- 4 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, with juice
- 1/2 lb. salt pork or bacon, diced
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 6 - 8 medium potatoes, washed, peeled and cubed
- 3 c. water
- 3 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 1 1/2 t. dried marjoram
- 1/2 t. dried thyme
- 4 c. half and half cream or milk, divided
- 3 - 4 T. cornstarch
- chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Steps
- Cut clams into bite-sized pieces, if necessary.
- Line a slow cooker with a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.
- In a skillet, saute salt pork or bacon and onion until golden brown; drain.
