If you have a little Sloppy Joe's leftover, use it to make this wonderful sandwich. It's a cross between grilled cheese and Sloppy Joe's. It's so easy to make and makes a great, quick meal.
1/2 c. cold leftover sloppy Joe's, from your favorite recipe
2 thick slices Cheddar cheese
2 slices bread, thickly sliced
1 T. butter, at room temperature
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slicebof bread, butter side down in the skillet/griddle.
Place one slice of cheese on the bread; top with leftover sloppy Joes (cold works best, so that it can be spread evenly without sliding out). Top with remaining slice of cheese and piece of bread, butter side out.
Heat pan over medium to medium-high heat; cook until bread is a golden brown; flip sandwich over and cook until the second side is golden brown.
Makes 1 sandwich.
