Description
30 minutes is all it takes to make a simple but delicious meal for your family. It is satisfying and comforting, with sausage, tomatoes, cream and your favorite pasta.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
- ¾ lb. uncooked spaghetti, angel hair or your favorite pasta
- 28 oz. crushed tomatoes with basil, undrained
- 32 oz. chicken or vegetable stock/broth
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- 1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes, if desired
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
- fresh chopped basil leaves, if desired
Steps
- In an 8 quart stockpot, cook sausage until no longer pink; discard grease.
- Add spaghetti, tomatoes, stock/broth, cream, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper, to taste; heat to boiling. Boil 15 - 20 minutes, stirring pasta frequently, until pasta is cooked and sauce is thick and creamy. Time could vary, according to the pasta that is chosen.
- Serve with Parmesan cheese and chopped basil leaves, if desired.
