Description
This casserole makes a great meal meatless meal. It has four different cheeses, marinara/spaghetti sauce, ziti and seasonings to make an easy, delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. package ziti pasta
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 15 oz. carton part-skim Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 32 oz. meatless spaghetti or marinara sauce
- 8 oz. shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese or more, if desired
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- onion powder, to taste
- 1 t. garlic powder, or to taste
- 1 T. chopped fresh parsley
Steps
- Cook ziti according to package directions in well salted boiling water, about 8 minutes. Drain; set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, combine egg, Ricotta cheese and 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese and seasonings.
