The pepperoni and Italian sausage in this recipe spice the lasagna up!
1 pkg. (2 rows) pepperoni slices, cut into bite sized pieces
1 lbs. mild Italian sausage
1 large can tomato paste
1 large can of water measured in the tomato paste can
1 large can diced tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 t. oregano
1 t. basil
6-12 lasagna noodles
6 or more mozzarella slices
1 small container of small curd cottage cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Boil lasagna; brown sausage; add tomato paste, diced tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, pepperoni; add 1 tomato paste can of water. Simmer 30 minutes. Mix cottage cheese, eggs and Parmesan.
Layer 2 times:
Noodles
Cottage cheese mixture
Mozzarella slices
Sauce mixture
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand before cutting and serving.
