Make your burgers even better and easier by making these sliders. They are so tasty and yummy, you will make this dish often.
Sliders:
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1 t. mustard powder
½ t. smoked paprika
2 c. diced onion from about 1 medium onion
3 -4 cloves garlic, minced
10 oz. can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes with green chiles, drained
12 slices Cheddar cheese
12 dinner rolls or buns
Glaze:
½ c. (1 stick) butter
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. mustard
1 T. sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place a large skillet on the stove over high heat. When the pan is hot, add the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, mustard powder, and paprika; add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned and onions are golden. Drain off any grease and discard. Stir in drained tomatoes until combined.
Slice dinner rolls in half; place bottom half of rolls in 9 x 13 baking dish; top with ground beef mixture and cheese slices. Place the top half of the bun on top.
Mix all of the glaze ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat or microwave about 40 seconds; mix until melted, smooth, and combined. Pour evenly over the buns.
Bake 25 minutes.
Makes 12 burgers.
