Those summer holidays are soon approaching and it's time for entertaining. If you don't have time to make ribs the traditional way, this is a great option. Make your own homemade BBQ sauce or use store bought, a few extra seasonings and its ready to go. S
2 c. BBQ sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
3-4 T. cider vinegar
3 t. oregano
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. cayenne pepper
1 T. chili powder
1 t. cayenne, optional (if you like heat)
3 lb. baby back pork ribs
salt and pepper, to taste
Place a slow cooker liner in the crock of a 6 quart slow cooker for easy clean up.
Combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, cider vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl.
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a piece of paper towel to grab it and peel it off.
Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place ribs in lined slow cooker; cover with sauce mixture. Cook on Low 6-8 hours or on High 4 hours.
Preheat oven to broil right before removing them from the slow cooker.
Place ribs on a foil lined baking sheet. Glaze with BBQ sauce from the slow cooker. Broil 3-5 minutes on each side for delicious caramelized edges.
Serve with BBQ sauce from the slow cooker on the side.
