This pork dish is perfect for weeknight dinners. It comes together in no time and is easy to prepare. Serve it with your favorite vegetable for a complete meal.
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
4 thick pork chops, rinsed and left damp
3 T. vegetable oil
1 3/4 c. beef broth/stock
10 3/4 oz. can condensed golden mushroom soup, roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup or your favorite
6 oz. package long-grain and wild rice mix plus seasoning packet
1/2 c. -1 c. water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place flour on a plate or in a shallow dish ; add pork chops; turn to coat completely.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil; brown pork chops 5 - 6 minutes per side.
Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish; mix well. Place browned pork chops over mixture; cover with aluminum foil.
Bake 1 hour, or until no pink remains in pork. (depending on thickness of pork chops-it could take less time)
