With just a little effort and some time in your slow cooker, you can enjoy these delicious sweet and a little spicy beans. They are prepared with three different kinds of beans and lots of spices.
(2) 14 oz. cans light red kidney beans, drained
(2) 14 oz. cans Great Northern beans, drained
(2) 14 oz. cans pork and beans, Do Not drain
2 small onions, diced small, about 1 1/4 c.
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. molasses
3 T. Cholula hot sauce
2 T. dDjon mustard
2 T. Mexican spice mix or taco seasoning
Line a slow cooker with a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.
Place all ingredients in the slow cooker; carefully stir; cook on High 4-5 hours or on Low 8-10 hours.
Serve.
**If you would like, add a pound of cooked ground beef, sausage, or bacon. It can also be made vegetarian by using vegetarian pork and beans.
