Sour Cream Breakfast Casserole

Description

Tired of the same old breakfast casserole? How about trying this easy, make ahead casserole? It has layers of thick bread, eggs, breakfast sausage, Cheddar cheese with milk and sour cream.

Ingredients

8- 1 inch thick slices of Challah or French bread, from about half of a loaf, cubed
8 eggs
1 lb. breakfast sausage
3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c. milk
1 c. sour cream
1 t. salt
¾ t. pepper

Brown breakfast sausage until cooked; drain sausage on a paper towel; discard grease.

Spray a 13 x 9 casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Place cubed bread into the bottom of the casserole dish; spread sausage and cheese on top.

In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, sour cream, and salt and pepper; pour over the ingredients in the casserole dish. Cover.

Refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bake 30 minutes covered; uncover; bake 30 more minutes.
