Description
This is a fantastic 30 minute meal that is pretty simple to make and so delicious. It's a creamy, cheesy baked dish with ground chuck, tomato sauce, egg noodles, sour cream, cottage cheese and Cheddar cheese. Serve with your favorite vegetable and crusty
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/4 t. garlic salt
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 8 oz. wide egg noodles
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 1/4 c. small curd cottage cheese (ricotta cheese or 8 oz. softened cream cheese could be substituted)
- 6 sliced green onions
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook egg noodles in well salted boiling water until al dente, drain; set aside.
- While the water is getting ready to cook the noodles, brown the ground chuck in a large skillet; drain off and discard any fat; add tomato sauce, 1/4 t. garlic salt, 1/4 t. salt and pepper, to taste; stir; simmer while preparing the other ingredients.
