This simple dish can be prepared from leftovers if you have them. It's tasty with chicken, ham and bacon, pasta, and cheese all in a rich, creamy sauce, then topped with bread crumbs.
3 c. uncooked penne, rotini or favorite pasta
2 c. heavy whipping cream, milk or half & half
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened and cubed (or light cream cheese)
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese, divided
1/2 t. onion powder
1/2 t. garlic salt
1/4 t. black pepper
3 c. cooked chicken breasts, sliced (leftover or rotisserie)
3/4 c. cooked bacon, crumbled (can be packaged/bottled to save time)
3/4 c. fully cooked ham, cubed (leftover or deli)
3 T. or more dry regular or Italian style bread crumbs or panko
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Cook pasta in well salted boiling water according to package directions for al dente, about 11 minutes; drain. Set aside.
Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat cream and cream cheese over medium heat until smooth, stirring occasionally; stir in 1 c. Swiss cheese, onion powder, garlic salt and pepper until blended.
To drained pasta, stir in chicken, bacon and ham; add sauce; toss to coat.
Transfer to prepared dish; sprinkle with remaining cheese; top with bread crumbs.
Bake, uncovered, 18-22 minutes or until heated through.
