Description
Make these wonderful baby back ribs at home and get the same fantastic taste that you get in the restaurant. Serve with your favorite sides.
Ingredients
- Rum and Coke BBQ Sauce:
- 12 oz. can of Coke
- freshly squeezed juice from ½ lime
- ¼ c. orange juice
- ½ t. allspice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ c. cornstarch
- ¼ c. water
- ½ c. spiced rum (Captain Morgan’s or Meyers’s)
- ½ c. BBQ sauce, your favorite
- BBQ Ribs:
- 2 racks baby back ribs, each approximately 1 1/2 lb.
- salt and pepper as needed, or your favorite BBQ seasoning
- Rum and Coke BBQ Sauce, chilled
- 1 c. water
Steps
- Rum and Coke BBQ Sauce:
- Combine Coke, lime juice, orange juice, allspice and cinnamon in a small pot; bring to a boil; reduce heat: simmer for 2 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch and water; add to simmering liquid; continue to simmer while stirring with a whisk for 5 minutes; take off of heat. Add rum and BBQ sauce; strain; refrigerate.
