Description
Serve a delicious and easy breakfast casserole to overnight guests or your family. Prepare it the night before, bake the next morning and receive rave reviews.
Ingredients
- 12 slices egg bread or any type, cubed
- 12 slices crispy bacon, crumbled or 1 c. diced ham
- 3 green onions, sliced
- ½ red bell pepper, finely diced
- 4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. milk
- ½ t. each dry mustard, salt and black pepper
Steps
- Cube bread; leave out overnight or place in the oven at 300 degrees for about 10 minutes to dry slightly. (DO NOT brown or toast it).
- Combine eggs, milk AND seasonings.
- Layer half of the cubed bread in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with half of the bacon, green onions, red peppers and cheese. Repeat layers.
