Make warm, satisfying sandwiches easily from just a few ingredients. Serve with a dill pickle and chips or fries.
12 pack King's Hawaiian sweet rolls
3 c. rotisserie chicken or leftover chicken
½ c. marinara sauce
8 oz. fresh Mozzarella cheese, sliced
¼ c. basil, chopped
½ c. melted butter
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped or minced
2 T. basil, finely chopped
2 T. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them together, creating a top and a bottom.
Place the bottom half on a 9 × 13 baking dish.
Spread chicken evenly on the rolls, followed by the marinara sauce, Mozzarella, and basil. Place on the tops of the rolls.
Mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, and Parmesan. Brush the top of the rolls with the butter mixture.
Bake 20 minutes.
Slice into individual sandwiches. Serve.
