Description
Whether you serve these as the main dish for Meatless Mondays or as a side dish, these steaks make a beautiful presentation. They are simple to prepare and have a tremendous flavor. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for a great option.
Ingredients
1 large head cauliflower, trimmed
2 T. extra-virgin olive oil, or more to taste
1/4 t. garlic powder, or to taste or Mrs. Dash Original seasoning
salt and black pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place cauliflower onto a cutting board with the stem side facing up; with a sharp knife, cut down vertically into 4 steaks even in thickness. Arrange 'steaks' onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle/brush olive oil over the steaks; season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
(If you have difficulty getting 4 nice steaks out of the cauliflower, roast the pieces that are left anyway. If needing a nice presentation, you might want to have an extra head on hand.)
Roast for 20 minutes; turn over with a spatula; continue to roast about 15 minutes, until soft in the middle and darkening around the edges.
