Make a yummy, easy taco bake with just a few ingredients. Use crescent rolls for the crust, ground beef or refried beans, chunky salsa, cheese and taco seasoning to create a fast meal that the whole family will love.
8 oz. can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 lb. lean, at least 80% ground beef
3/4 c. chunky salsa
2 T. taco seasoning mix, from a 1 oz. package
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
shredded lettuce and chopped tomato for garnish, if desired
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Unroll crescent dough; separate into 8 triangles. Place in un-greased 9 inch square pan or 10 inch pie plate; press over bottom and up the sides to form a crust.
In a 10 inch skillet, cook beef over medium heat, about 8 - 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain and discard grease. Stir in salsa and taco seasoning mix; simmer 5 minutes.
Spoon meat mixture into the crust-lined pan/pie plate; sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
Bake 14 - 17 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted.
Garnish with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato, if desired. Serve.
