1 package King's Hawaiian rolls
1 lb. lean ground beef or mixture of ground beef and pork
2 T. butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. chopped parsley
1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
1 T. dried oregano
1 t. salt
1/2 - 1 t. pepper
1 T. olive oil
1 jar marinara sauce, your favorite
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut a hole in the rolls large enough for meatballs to fit on the top of each roll. Add garlic and parsley to melted butter; brush mixture on each roll. Toast rolls in oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
While toasting rolls, make the meatballs. Put ground beef, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix until evenly distributed.; roll into 12 meatballs.
Heat olive oil in a sauté pan on medium heat; brown meatballs on all sides; discard grease; add marinara sauce.
Place a meatball and 1 T. sauce into each bread hole; top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake until cheese is melted.
Makes 12.
