Do you love sliders, but not all of the work involved with making each little sandwich? Make these easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders in a baking dish, keeping the bottoms of the rolls intact, as well as the tops. This makes the preparation so much easier an
1 package Hawaiian rolls
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 T. olive oil
1 green pepper, sliced or diced
1 onion, sliced or diced
1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced ( or 1 box Thinly Sliced Steak -found in frozen food section)
salt and pepper, to taste
12 slices Provolone cheese
3 T. butter, melted
grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut the sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally (across) with a serrated knife. Place bottoms in a parchment-lined, oven-safe baking dish. The parchment paper should hang over a bit to help lift the rolls out later. Spread mayonnaise on insides or the tops and bottoms of the rolls.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add onions and green peppers; cook for 5 minutes until tender; add steak; season with salt and pepper. Cook steak until tender; remove from heat.
Top rolls with 6 slices of cheese, cooked steak, green peppers, onions and 6 more slices of Provolone cheese. Place roll tops over steak; brush rolls with melted butter. Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake 20 minutes or until tops are browned and cheese is fully melted. Remove from oven; remove foil. Sprinkle with a bit of diced onion or a little grated Parmesan cheese while still hot, if desired. Cut into individual sliders.
Serve.
