Description
Making a juicy turkey burger isn't difficult, and since turkey is such a lean meat, it dries out easily. The trick to making it juicy is to add a healthy oil to the meat and don't cook the burgers for too long. That's it.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey or chicken
- 1 - 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- ½ t. salt
- ¼ t. pepper
Steps
- Heat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat, 400-450 degrees. Make sure the grate is clean and well oiled so the meat doesn't stick.
- In a mixing bowl, gently knead together the turkey, oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. DO NOT overwork the meat.
- Form meat into 4 patties, each about ¼ - ½ inch thick. Press your thumb down in the middle to indent it slightly.
