Do you need an easy meal but are tired of your ordinary pizza? How about changing it up a bit by using French bread as the crust, Alfredo sauce instead of red sauce, 2 cheeses, chicken and bacon and seasonings for a great, simple meal.
1 loaf French bread
1 1/2 c. store bought jarred Alfredo sauce
1 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 t. Italian seasoning
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
2 c. cooked chicken, chopped
1 c. cooked bacon, chopped
1 c. tomatoes, diced
1/2 c. green onions, thinly sliced
1 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded
chopped parsley, for garnish, optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut off the top of the French bread; remove the bread on the inside to hollow it out; place on a large baking sheet.
Spread about 1 c. Alfredo sauce evenly inside the bread loaf; cover with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Mix together Italian seasoning, salt and garlic powder; sprinkle over cheese. Continue layering chicken, bacon, tomatoes, remaining Alfredo sauce, green onions; top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake about 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
Remove from oven; top with chopped parsley, if desired. Cut into slices. Serve warm.
